When they suggest to confess to each other crush, i know Mugi will be accepted by Akane. Why?

The plot to hurt Hanabi still go on. I dont read manga but some tell me Akane know Mugi and Kanai is the 'pillar' of Hanabi strength. Rob that and Akane completely destroy Hanabi.

No surprise if next ep we see story will tell on Akane side.

My 2 cents.

Okay, that episode was amazing.

They finally confessed. Hanabi can finally move on but she's gonna be hurt knowing what Mugi did :( Fucking hell. I hate Akane. And Mugi knowing full well he was being played.
I really like how Kanai handled the whole thing, when Hana confessed and cried. That was my favorite scene in this episode. Loved this week's episode. One of my favorite ones so far :D
Next episode should be interesting to see how Hanabi is gonna handle once she learns about Mugi. I can already bet Akane is gonna taunt her in the hallway again T_T

What a great episode.
The episode gave us some hope in the beginning but by the end of it all, all that hope was taken away.

Feels like this anime is about to get more intense and I mean this is such an awesome episode....

Never thought I -a brutally manly otoko- would get hooked with a story with this thematic.

This show is spectacularly directed.
Chika Anzai is magnificent (criminally underrated seiyu)
The story does not need cliché as the main path for development.
Great music, great art, great animation.
I'll fade away and classify myself as obsolete!

BEST EPISODE YET OF THIS ANIME
The only problem I have with this episode is the scene of Ecchan and the new character Atsuya which is useless because if you remove this scene it won't change the meaning of this episode. It doesn't bring any plus for the story.
So the main characters decided to confess their feelings to their crushes and be rejected properly so they can move on with this but it didn't go as planned for Mugi.
Mugi tried so hard to fight his desire for Akane but in the end he lost and Akane won
I can't really blame Mugi for what he did because he couldn't resist with Akane who's continuing to take the lead and manipulate him
Proud of Hanabi she's definitely becoming one of my favorite character in this show
The confession-rejection of Hanabi scene at the end was so BEAUTIFUL. The FEELS felt so real. Kanai handled the situation so well and rejected her properly. I felt so sad at the end when she said she is no longer alone :( Poor Hanabi
Happy to see that Hanabi and Mugi started to develop feelings for each other
So excited for next week to see the next episode and to see where things goes
Things will get complicated.

Taiga and Ryuuji sure are a cute coupl- oh wait wrong anime.

Anyway this episode... oh this episode... i was seriously liking the direction that the series was heading to be honest, however this single episode blown everything out of proportion.
For starters we got introduced to this one random character out of no where with the solely (i say solely because i doubt we will see any more of him at this point considering how close we are to the end) purpose of making Ecchan doubt herself, her sexuality and her actions. Which by itself is not necessarily a bad thing per say, if it wasn't counting the fact that this will most likely lead to Ecchan and everything surrounding her character to become pretty much irrelevant after this point since she will most likely give up and apologise to Hanabi...
Also are we really supposed to feel some sort of connection between Mugi and Hanabi? Because i sure as hell never viewed them as a possible couple neither i believe they have feeling for one another in the slightest, other than the fact that both of them dont wanna be alone. Up until this point their relationship has been nothing but physical and i can hardly view them as two friends even.
And don't get me started on the whole Akane situation. If Akane truly only gets pleasure by crushing others people "hearts" (sort to speak), then what was her reasoning for going to bed with Mugi? Did she just magically assumed that Hanabi was actually starting to grow "feelings" for him or that they were a couple? Either way it doesn't make sense and it felt very exaggerated.

Ugh well regardless, let's see how everything will go after this... I still hope everything crashes and burns in the end.

The characters and relationships are shaping up to be something more deeper than I had expected. Hehe. I really don't want the main characters to have a bad ending especially Hanabi and Mugi. Hopefully, this show would not prove that their relationship wouldnt go for the worse, but I have my doubts...This was a great episode though! Calming yet intense.

This shipper's life! When you notice that your interest shrinks by a half or more in each scene that does not involve both Hanabi and Mugi. I'm turning into a fanboy even though they are screwing up again and again. They were really cute in the opening scene. I loved the tone, almost casual childish and at the end the "jaa, watashi mo!"

You saw the fireworks in the backgrounds? That means we didn't get the yukata holding hands summer festival fireworks sightseeing cliché. While probably all the characters of the other romance animes were at the summer festival, at the exact same moment Mugi and Hanabi were just trying to do homework, instead kissed shamelessly in the bedroom and then Mugi walked her home, both not even bothering about any big event happening in another part of the city. I tell you : this anime is unique! Ha!

Ecchan's cousin seems pretty cool. I like his persistent character! Only issue is that they're cousins...
Hanabi GG, takes a lot of courage to confess. Very well done scene.
Can't blame Mugi for choosing what he did IMO even though picking Hanabi would be a better choice. Oh well dick > brain.

(The arrows are quotes from my previous discussion post.)

>but what is probably going to happen is that she isn't just going to flat out reject Mugi since he is a part of Hanabi's love life now. It's certain she isn't going to let him out unscathed, in this case Hanabi will gain some clarity from a touching moment from expressing herself to Kanai then realises she isn't such a dark person and starts pursuing Mugi.

This is what I said in the last episodes discussion and I have to say I basically hit the nail on the head. I didn't expect Mugi to sleep with Akane though, but I knew something was going to happen. In terms of Hanabi, I was right on that topic too, although since Mugi went so far with Akane, I know Hanabi is going to end up figuring out from either of them and end up heartbroken because she thought Mugi was on her side and they were starting to love each other.

I believe the next few episodes are not going to end well for the relationship between Mugi and Hanabi while they attempt to swift through the betrayal that Mugi done to Hanabi (I believed in you Mugi!!!!!). I do think in the end they will make it out together and end up dating, I don't want it to happen as that would give the anime too much of a cliché ending and Kuzu no Honkai has done well so far, I don't want it to end all lovey dovey with hearts and roses.

> After this Hanabi will realise she isn't alone and is nothing like Akane

This is what we see after Hanabi confesses to Kanai, she cries it out like never before, (props to Anzai Chika for the superb crying scene; very touching to watch personally) she states that she isn't alone anymore and she can start to be the person she wanted to be before Akane came and messed her all up.

>I don't fully understand what will happen to Ecchan though, she might stay friends with Hanabi or there will be a long conversation between her and Hanabi where they tell each other how they really feel etc, and that Hana can't cross boundaries with her as that wouldn't make them friends anymore or something like that :S

This kind of wraps up Ecchan's story line for me, with the recent appearance of Atsuya we have another player on the field. I can tell you that I am 99% sure Ecchan will wind up with Atsuya just from watching this episode (Haven't read the manga, so idk what happens in that) just from the sheer fact that with the relationship between Atsuya and Ecchan wraps up the difficulties between her and Hanabi, futhermore the relationship between Hanabi and Mugi.

Obviously with my predictions that I make with Kuzu no Honkai, I don't want to be right most of the time because I want to keep being surprised every new episode I watch but with these turn of events there is only a small number of events that can take place now, and I'm wondering what kind of events will come to fruition. Excited for the next ep.

Since Mugi betrayed my expectations for him i'm rooting for Atsuya and Ecchan's relationship. Loving Atsuya so far and excited to what he will bring in the next episode, relentlessly pursuing the annoying Ecchan(I just want her out of the way at the point :p)

Waiting for the next episode ^^

Damn it Mugi, you were so close to finally moving on with your life, but you let her pull you in, even though you know full well that it's all a farce and a lie. Hell, you more or less admitted you love Hanabi as well and she clearly loves you as well now, so it's really depressing to see that those feelings could well go to waste. At least Hanabi has been able to move on, but now she's got to face up to what's going on with Mugi, as well as dealing with Ecchan's advances, although those don't seem likely to occur much more based on her conversation with her cousin in the first half of the episode.

This episode was pretty boring until the last 5-10 minutes. Ecchan and her cousin seemed to be out of place in this episode, it felt like it was just thrown in for story line purposes, especially after the end of this episode.
My guess Hanabi will confide with Ecchan and The cousin will be the third Wheel.

Mugi....Mugi Mugi Mugi...you FREAKING IDIOT!!!! You know Akane is a troll yet you still bang her out. WHY DUDE?!?!? WHY?!?!?!

Now the question is how long is Hanabi going to wait at the park until she realizes' Mugi is not coming?

it makes me laugh how he think he "knows" her so much yet can't even see that she'd use him just to hurt hanabi. smh.

also ecchan's scum's wish hat. LOL.

overall great episode & i was pleasantly surprised to find that onii-chan actually isn't a scumbag. i was kind of waiting for a final reveal of him being just as shitty as everyone else but i guess not!

it almost feels like he's the mc, or would be in any other anime lolol he's just the plain unassuming guy that everyone loves for some reason

Loved this episode and the confessions. Mugi is really naive, tho, if he thinks he can change Akane. It's so realistic for a teenager to feel that way. Hanabi's vulnerability was so real, too. This show still keeps on impressing me.
Unless it gets a let down ending, KnH may be a solid 9/10 for me for now.

Yay Go Hanabi! She confessed and can try to move on now!
But damn that teacher! Slut!
Mugi failed. Worst part is Hanabi thinks she's not alone and can rely on him. And he don;t want to leave her alone yet he failed. She's in for a disappointment. I wonder if he will let Hanabi know or lie about it...

Ecchan probably go with her cousin I think, he doesn't seem to be a bad guy so. And seems like Mocca moved on though don;t think with anyone. But that's fine, you don;t need to find another person, simply moving on in itself is progress. She had it much better than the others. A single date and moved on.

The new male character seems interesting, particularly his mannerism. On another note, Mugi scores, acknowledging its actual (in)significance, meanwhile Hanabi fails. A Pyrrhic victory, of sorts.

Why Mugi... Despite being knowing that he's being used. I guess that's the power of Akane's seduction.

Liking Atsuya so far. Not a fan of the cousin thing though. And it's good to see that Ecchan can be normal around him. She doesn't have many friends let alone any close male friends.
